How To Make Eggless Chocolate Cake

Baking Temperature: 180° C
Makes 1 Cake

Ingredients:

125 gm plain flour (maida)
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1 ½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp soda bi-carb
¾ cup condensed milk
4 tbsp melted butter
1 tsp vanilla essence
¼ tsp melted butter for greasing
1 tbsp plain flour (maida)

Method:

Sieve the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and soda bi-carb together. Keep aside. Combine the condensed milk, melted butter, vanilla, essence and 4 tbsp of water and beat well. Add the sieved flour – cocoa-soda bi carb mixture and mix gently with a spatula till the batter is of dropping consistency. Pour the batter into a greased and dusted 175 mm diameter tin. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180° C.

For 20 minutes or till done. The cake is ready when it leaves the slides of the tin and is springy to touch. When ready, remove from the oven and leave aside for 1 minute. Invert the tin over a rack and tap sharply to un- mould the cake. Keep aside to cool. Use as required.
